What an amazing year 2021 was! And this year will hopefully be even better. Last year’s adventures afforded me so much more experience in solo travel. I’m becoming more comfortable driving the van, although I’m not sure I’ll ever be great at parking it! 🙂 That can be quite hilarious at times, but only in retrospect. I visited the southern Appalachian Mountains and Foothills where I was able to travel and explore the region while hiking and camping. I was also able to visit long-time friends. Between my travels Kevin and I did a few more upgrades to the van and have some more upgrades planned for later this year. At the beginning of the year I began making my reservations for this spring. I’ll be heading west across the country for my biggest adventure yet!
I’m excited to continue sharing my journey through my Vlog on Youtube. I derive so much joy from being able to take viewers along with me as I experience all of these new places and immerse myself in nature. I’d like to believe that I can be an inspiration to others who might also like to travel, especially those who might be apprehensive about solo travel.
I’ve been trying to decide the best way to take the creative inspiration I’ve gained from these experiences and express it through my art. I have a couple projects I would like to complete before making any announcements. Working on the road has presented some challenges for me, but I feel that this is encouraging me to experiment more. I think these challenges are only serving to bring my art more inline with the changes that have been taking place within the artworld itself, as many more artists are becoming independent and have moved into a more interdisciplinary approach in their work.
Over the next couple months you will see this website undergoing some reconstruction as I make it easier to maintain. I’ll be adding ways for people to help support me in my journey. I’ll also be making it easier for people to purchase my work. I will be posting monthly updates , so please check back soon.
I wish everyone good health and happiness. ~ Cindy
